Johnson City, TN: Kelsey + Eric's Cold Winter Lakeside Engagement Session

Kelsey and Eric are getting married today and I thought I’d celebrate by sharing their engagement session on the blog!

These two met through mutual friends on a cabrewing trip in Ohio and have been together ever since! I had never heard of cabrewing before, but after hearing Eric and Kelsey chat about it, it sounds like a hella fun time! Cabrewing is apparently a slang term (thanks, Google) for canoeing while drinking and floating down a river. A few years later, Eric proposed to Kelsey at Arches National Park while on a road trip with their friends— talk about a memorable and adventurous trip!

We met up back in January for Kelsey and Eric’s engagement session while they were in town visiting their venue. At the time, they had planned on getting married in May, but thanks to Covid, they had to reschedule their big day for September. Because Kelsey and Eric were in town for a brief weekend, we had to squeeze in their engagement session on one of the coldest days of the year, but these two were troopers and dressed for the occasion. We explored one of our local lakes here and were even lucky enough to get some snowflakes. They even brought their two dogs Kona and Bailey (who I absolutely love)!

Marissa and her husband, Two Peak Studios, tagged along and created a beautiful Save-The-Date video! Be sure to press play below!

Congratulations, Eric and Kelsey! I can’t wait to see you two become husband and wife!
