These two celebrated with a full weekend retreat at the always gorgeous Sugar Hollow Retreat in Butler, Tennessee! They drove all the way from Alabama with their friends and family to get married in our beautiful Smoky Mountains. Their day was full of gorgeous greenery, laughter, tears, and of course, the beautiful mountains.

Spring wedding season is just around the corner in the Southeast and with that comes a bit of unpredictable weather! As couples are planning their weddings for the year, we always hope and dream of the most beautiful, sunny, and perfect day. Of course, sometimes we’re not always lucky and Mother Nature throws us a rainy day. With that said, the good news is that there are plenty of ways to prepare and handle these rainy wedding days and make the best of the weather, with you, your guests, and photos in mind!

I wrapped up June by celebrating Abby and Lucas' beautiful day at The Magnolia Venue in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! I have been itching to capture a day at this venue for quite some time and was so honored to do so for Abby and Lucas!

It may have been one of the year's hottest days, but these two were glowing! Overlooking the Smoky Mountains with the most breathtaking view, Abby and Lucas exchanged rings and vows and became Mr. and Mrs. Stiles!

By now, I'm no stranger to rainy wedding days and have really grown to love how magical they can be! Alexis and Alec's wedding day at Sugar Hollow Retreat in Butler, Tennessee was no exception to that!

Everyone gathered in the misty mountains to surround Alexis and Alec with love as they became husband and wife!

After everything became official, the rain subsided and gave us the most beautiful fog over the mountains. We took a few more portraits with the beautiful backdrop, then danced the night away under the twinkle lights at the reception.

Alli and Alex are married!! These two adventurous souls traveled all of the way from Colorado to the mountains of Tennessee to celebrate with their friends and family at Sugar Hollow Retreat in Butler, Tennessee.

The forecast kept saying that rain was on the way, but luckily held out for us for most of the day. The clouds eventually broke and gave us a steady drizzle for their vows. Being as adventurous as they are, Alex and Alli chose to have the ceremony outside despite the rain and it was truly magical!

Amanda and Jack had originally planned on eloping, but stumbled across the Waterstone venue in Johnson City, Tennessee, and fell in love! They then decided to travel from Nashville with their closest family and friends and have their intimate ceremony in front of the iconic waterfall. After becoming husband and wife, Amanda and Jack celebrated with their family at their outdoor reception. Everything about their day was so laid-back, intentional, and beautiful!

Sam and Ken had the most beautiful, holiday-inspired, winter wedding at Chateau Selah! It was a cold, blustery, winter day in Blountville, Tennessee, but at least it was sunny! The Chateau was decorated for Christmas and was so magical and cozy. With red and green florals, accents of gold, sparkling lights and candles, and plenty of pine trees and garland— these two had such a beautiful and memorable wedding day!

Leanne and Brian became husband and wife at the gorgeous Hachland Hill in Nashville, Tennessee! It’s a bed and breakfast meets venue meets gourmet farm-to-table dinner! Hachland Hill not only has a vineyard, but also an amazing on-site chef, two beautiful inns, and an amazing tobacco barn with a patio for the reception. Spring was really showing off this weekend, as plenty of trees and plants had bloomed, giving us the perfect color for their day.

Emma and Justin got married at a beautiful, historic, and coastal home in Southern Maryland-- Woodlawn Estate. It’s nestled off of the Potomac River, right where it meets the Chesapeake Bay, in the southern tip of the state. I loved traveling back to my home state to capture their beautiful fall wedding day and celebrate with them! Their waterfront ceremony was truly a special day that I'll never forget!

These two had the sweetest and most perfect Sunday wedding in September. Taylor is in the military so they had to work with his schedule to pick their date. It was a warm day with a light breeze— my favorite! We started the day with a sweet first look by the creek and a few portraits, then made our way to their creekside ceremony. Callie and Taylor invited their closest family and friends, which made for it to be such an intimate celebration!
