Glamping Retro: Casey + Burton’s Intimate Fall Camp Wedding in Tennessee
An Intimate Fall Camp wedding at Glamping REtro
Casey and Burton live in Asheville, North Carolina, and told me that they dreamed of a laid-back, Fall weekend getaway in the mountains with their closest family for their wedding day. They got married at Glamping Retro in Erwin, Tennessee, and I think it’s safe to say that their dream was fully achieved— fall leaves and all! Each guest had either an Airstream or glamping tent to spend the weekend and celebrate!
On a brisk fall Saturday, these two exchanged vows and rings at the peaceful creekside ceremony site, under a canopy of trees. Afterward, they popped a super special bottle of champagne— a 1978 bottle of Dom Perignon that was gifted to them from Casey’s parents (which was a bottle gifted to them on their wedding day that they never opened)! Their dog, Boone, also participated and was by their side all day! They ended their evening with a sake and lantern send-off to kick-off their future honeymoon to Japan!
I love many aspects of their day, but I especially love how Casey and Burton incorporated so many special little details, sprinkled throughout!
Their vow cards were bought on a trip in Italy when they got engaged.
Their rings were also handmade in Italy.
The little piece of yellow fabric was a piece of Martha Washington’s wedding dress passed down through the brides’ family.
A bottle of champagne given to them that was saved from their parent’s wedding.
Another bottle of champagne that survived the flooding from Hurricane Helene, that impacted Casey and Burton’s where they live in Asheville.
Pottery vases included in the decor were made by the groom’s grandfather.
A vinyl record player played the couple’s favorite records at the reception.
… just to name a few. Everything was connected in some way to Casey and Burton’s story and their family history to make their day even that more special!
I was also able to take a few film photos on their day and have sprinkled them throughout below! I love how the vintage vibe of the film grain matched their day perfectly.
