Mendy and Nick are such a sweet couple and I cannot believe that their wedding is just around the corner! Mendy told me that one of the first places that Nick had taken her as they were dating was the local waterfall, so I knew that we had to go there for their engagement session! We met up on a balmy late spring/summer evening and started our hike to the falls. It was great to finally meet Nick and to get to know him and Mendy even more.Read More

I kicked off the year with Ashley and Logan’s engagement session, and let me say- we started with a bang! I’ve wanted to shoot on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a few years now, and when I first pitched a list of locations to Ashley, I was silently hoping they’d pick the parkway. Needless to say, they made my parkway dreams come true! We had a blast laughing and hiking up to the view! I just love how these two make each other smile and laugh constantly. They are absolutely perfect for each other and it’s so easy to see just how much they care one another.Read More
With all of this amazing sunshine and blooming flowers and trees, I can’t help but get incredibly excited for this coming Summer! I just love the warmth, soft grass and abundance of sun. It’s truly my favorite season!
This past Summer, I had the honor to photograph a styled wedding shoot alongside some of my favorite photographers and vendors here in northeast Tennessee! Melissa Baskette, of Piney Rose Designs, hosted all of us on her beautiful farm, Cave Springs Farm, and styled the whole session! She designed everything around the theme, “vintage summer garden,” which I absolutely love!Read More
Day-of timelines are pretty important for planning your wedding day, and that includes deciding on having a first look or a more traditional timeline. From a photographer’s perspective, and having been a bride myself, I am personally a huge fan of first looks! My husband and I decided to do a first look for our own wedding and it was the best decision. We have never regretted it! With wedding season around the corner, I thought I’d share my top 5 reasons to why you should consider having a first look on your wedding day!Read More
Sarah and Justin are engaged! These two moved to northeast Tennessee all of the way from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for Sarah’s job in the medical field. When Sarah contacted me about taking engagement photos, she mentioned wanting to show their family their new home- the mountains of Tennessee! I knew just the right location! I met Justin and Sarah at Roan Mountain on a warm October evening for their session. They brought their two adorable pups- Aussie and Bella- and we had a blast catching the sunset behind the mountains. The blue ridges were out and showing off!Read More
Last year, I had so much fun putting together my first behind-the-scenes blog (you can see that here) that I made more of a conscious effort to get more content this year! I am so thankful to have had amazing second shooters who caught some funny (and embarrassing) moments throughout the year of me doing what I do! I love sharing the not-so-glamorous side of wedding photography- it’s not all rainbows and butterflies on a wedding day! Enjoy this brief inside look of what it’s like to be a wedding photographer in Northeast Tennessee!Read More
Well, y’all! Another year has come and past and I am just in utter awe of all of the adventures from this past year! I am so incredibly grateful for all of the couples that I’ve been able to meet and capture on such a special day, and everyone who has supported me, collaborated with me, and helped make this year downright amazing. Angie and Austin are just so incredibly sweet together! These two drove all of the way from Charleston, South Carolina to visit me in the mountains for their engagement session at Watauga Lake in Hampton, Tennessee! As we arrived, the sun was already setting, so we chased the light from spot to spot. Austin and Angie brought their little pup, Daisy, who was just so precious! Their humor together is just so contagious- I was laughing all evening! I’m so glad that we got to enjoy one of the last nice Fall evenings by the lake.Read More
Luke and Caroline were married at the Camp at Buffalo Mountain in beautiful Jonesborough, Tennessee! These two said their vows inside of the camp’s cozy Allison Lodge, complete with candlelight and warm fire in the fireplace. After becoming husband and wife, we took portraits around the camp’s cabins and creek, and hurried back for drinks and bbq dinner. After a fun introduction, including their ‘secret’ handshake, Luke and Caroline danced the night away with family and friends.Read More
