It feels like the colder weather is finally here to stay in East Tennessee and I’m reminiscing back on this beautiful winter wedding from last year!

Amber and Kit became husband and wife at the beautiful Nolichuckey Bluffs Glass Chapel in Greeneville, Tennessee! When Amber first inquired with me, she told me that she and Kit had been together for 18 years! They had met in college many years ago and Kit popped the question at Rock Creek Park on New Year’s Day a few years prior. Kit surprised Amber with a tour of the venue in early October and it was full steam ahead to the wedding day in December. When I chatted with Amber and Kit at our consultation, I found out that Kit had actually worked at my college in the IT department as I was attending there! I’m always so amazed at how small the world can be sometimes.

Their wedding day was so beautiful and intimate. The day before, it was probably 30 degrees and the mountains were topped with snow. The day of? A warm 50-60 degrees. Talk about whacky Tennessee weather, but it was perfect for their day. We kicked things off with a sweet little first look in the drive up to the Chapel. Their closest family members and friends then joined us in the glass chapel for their sweet ceremony. After officially becoming husband and wife, we took advantage of the beautiful view next to the chapel and took some portraits while overlooking the Nolichuckey. Kit and Amber then ended the day with an intimate dessert reception at the next-door cabin. Amber said that she had always wanted a winter wedding and I believe she got exactly that (minus some snow, hehe). I loved her winter decor touches, especially the wreaths on the doors of the chapel.

Congratulations, Kit and Amber! I am so happy that you’re starting this next chapter of your story— it was truly an honor to be a part of it and capture your day.

Big thanks to their vendors who made their day amazing:
