Courtney and David are friends of my former bride, Kaity, and reached out to me for a couple’s session in our Tennessee mountains! These two live in Nashville and not only celebrated their first year together, but also just moved into a new home! They both wanted photos to celebrate this new chapter in their lives and to have some printed for the walls of their new home. We met up at Carver’s Gap on Roan and was able to catch the most beautiful sunset at their session!Read More

Well, y’all! Another year has come and past and I am just in utter awe of all of the adventures from this past year! I am so incredibly grateful for all of the couples that I’ve been able to meet and capture on such a special day, and everyone who has supported me, collaborated with me, and helped make this year downright amazing. As per end-of-year tradition, it’s time to view the best images of 2018! I have loved sitting down at the end of each year to put together my favorite images captured during each session or wedding! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and cheers to 2019! May it be full of love, laughter, and adventures together!Read More
Spring is finally here, which means the grass is turning green, the trees are budding, birds are chirping, and of course, engagement sessions! I absolutely love shooting engagement, anniversary, and couple's sessions with my adventurous couples. It's so fun to explore, hang out, get to know each other and enjoy nature without the added pressure of a timeline on a wedding day!
Since these sessions aren't appointments that we regularly schedule, I know it can sometimes feel awkward to be in front of the lens (I still am). That's what I'm here for- to guide you and help make your session a comfortable and fun experience for both you and your fiancé/significant other! One of the best ways to feel more comfortable at the session is to plan out what you'll be wearing.
Of course, most of the photos you see below are from engagement sessions, but I wanted to note that it translates to anniversary or couple's sessions as well! Any portrait session where there are two of you to coordinate/prepare!Read More

I'm almost at a loss for words here as I look back at all of the adventures, stunning summer sunsets and genuine smiles from laughter. I am incredibly blessed and fortunate to capture the love stories for all of my amazing couples in such a beautiful part of our country.Read More
Well, folks, another year has come and gone and a new is on the way! Every year, I love to sit down at my computer and look back at all of the wonderful people I've met, the amazing places I've been able to see and everything in between. Here are some of my favorite images taken throughout the year, from weddings and engagements, musicians and custom drums, to camping trips and mountain views. I've known Nick since high school. If I remember correctly, we met in either band or our AP Chemistry class, where he sat directly behind me. Skip ahead a few years, Nick has found himself a lovely lady, Meg, and wanted photos of them together for her as a birthday present.
With a bit of scheduling and a little cooperation with the weather, we were able to go to one of my favorite places in Maryland/West Virginia- Harper's Ferry. Our first shoot lasted about 15 minutes, for a severe thunderstorm loomed on the Potomac River, but we made the most of it! Luckily, a week or so later, we were able to have another, more fulfilling session, in downtown Harper's Ferry.
Big thanks to Nick and Meg for their constant patience with the weather and scheduling conflicts and for being awesome people!
