Two years ago, I was invited on my first backpacking trip with my friend Elizabeth and her group of friends who visit Panthertown Valley annually. We had an amazing weekend full of campfires, "faint foothpath" finding, waterfall chasing, and of course, running from yellowjackets (you can read about that trip on the blog here). When a date had been set for the annual Panthertown trip for 2016, I cleared my schedule and began preparing for another exciting weekend in the backcountry!Read More

Caroline and Joe are such a laid back, down-to-earth couple and I absolutely love it! These two met in college as they attended a bunch of the same classes together, and have been inseparable ever since! Caroline is an accountant and Joe is in finance, so of course they are two peas in a pod!Joe proposed to Caroline in the gardens at the Biltmore Estate, so we felt that it was fitting to meet up at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville for their engagement session!Read More
Alexis and John Michael are getting married on Roan this Summer! These two first met when they were younger, but fell in love when they saw each other at the same rock climbing gym. He's a carpenter and she's a biology major, and they couldn't be more perfect together. We met up at Grayson Highlands State Park for their engagement session and had an amazing time despite the crazy weather!Read More
Every year, my friend Elizabeth and a small group of her friends from college get together and go backpacking through the beautiful Nantahala Forest in North Carolina. They pack up all of their camping gear (ENO hammocks, hiking boots, tents, Chaco sandals, JetBoil stoves, dehydrated food, and clothing) and head out into the woods in search of a perfect "home away from home" in Panthertown Valley. I was an extremely lucky gal and received an invitation from Elizabeth to join their camp this year- and I'm so glad I did!Read More
A few months back, I gave a preview of Chris and Bailey's beautiful wedding in Flat Rock, North Carolina. After finishing the images, I fell in love with this wedding-- the stunning couple and beautiful venue, and just had to share the whole story.
I would like to give a big thanks to Bethany Sanford, fellow VI alumni and photographer, of Bethany Grace Photography, for being a great road trip buddy, second shooter and awesome person! And also, thanks to Bailey and Chris, for a beautiful day and weekend- best wishes!
Stay tuned for the full blog of Bailey's equestrian bridal shoot.....
