Banner Elk, NC: Amanda & Elizabeth's Cabin Elopement

When the first thing you're told when you arrive at the cabin is, "We have bears," you know it's going to be a great day!

On a beautiful Saturday evening in August, Amanda and Elizabeth FINALLY eloped at a breathtaking cabin in Banner Elk, North Carolina. After dating for nearly 7 years, they finally said their vows and promised themselves to each other. Witnessing their special day were 6 of their closest friends and co-workers and it was absolutely perfect! After the ceremony, Amanda, who is a chef in Charlotte, prepared a small dinner for the guests.

And as for the bears... We never saw them on their big day! The night before the wedding, a momma bear and her two cubs came strolling through the backyard of the cabin, leaving Amanda and Elizabeth believing they were about to have three more, uninvited, guests to their wedding! Thankfully, we never saw them!

Congratulations, Amanda and Elizabeth! I loved being a part of this incredibly special day in your lives!

The beautiful cabin, McRae Hideaway.

Elizabeth's band was Amanda's grandmother's ring. Amanda wanted a raw diamond, so Elizabeth had a ring custom made for her. It's so unique and stunning!

Zoe congratulated the newlyweds after the ceremony.
