Oh my goodness, y’all! This girl right here!

I first met Ashley through our local Tuesday’s Together group (a networking group for creative entrepreneurs that meets once a month), and I’m SO glad that I did. I had met her shortly after I had moved back to the Tri-Cities and was trying to grow my business in Tennessee. I owe a lot of my business growth to not only the Tuesday’s Together group but also to all of my closest friends who constantly cheer me on- especially Ashley! She has always been there for me to bounce ideas, has helped brainstorm lots of exciting possibilities for my business, and has listened to me talk about photography and life in general.

Here’s a peek at Ashley’s branding, so you can see how we coordinated colors and vibes in her shoot! Branding by the amazing Chelsea Magruder, Magruder Photo and Design.

When Ashley came to me to talk about a branding photoshoot for her new brand, I was both ecstatic and honored! We met up for coffee at our favorite coffeehouse (Open Doors) and planned out our shoot. Ashley told me she wanted her new brand to feel mature, genuine, and of course, to show a connection with nature. She also wanted to show parts of her real life, so we planned a lifestyle/at home office shoot to share her cute little blue office and her family- including her husband, Mike, and pup, Myla.

We met up back in August and started at her home in Johnson City! I just loved how everything in her home coordinated perfectly with her new brand, including all of her wall colors! I was also ecstatic to finally meet the infamous Myla (I just love how she “talks to momma [Ashley]” on Ashley’s insta-stories)! We then drove to downtown Johnson City for the more “formal,” part of the branding session. We found these adorable tables and chairs at a local deli that we HAD to use for on-the-go working shots. I LOVED their ferns and cute stars that were hanging in their awning. From there, we continued to walk downtown and found the most perfect peach-colored wall that coordinated with the peach in Ashley’s shirt and branding board. We had plans of going up to Tannery Knob for some mountain photos, but we chased the sun until dusk- so stay tuned for those!
