Goodbye, 2017!

Holy smokes, this year has flown by! I seriously cannot even believe that 2018 is just a few days away! It feels like yesterday that I was rounding up images and reminiscing about everything 2016 brought for last year's review blog (which you can see here)! I'm almost at a loss for words here as I look back at all of the adventures, stunning summer sunsets and genuine smiles from laughter. I am incredibly blessed and fortunate to capture the love stories for all of my amazing couples in such a beautiful part of our country.

I've always heard the saying, "Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Since graduating college I had been on a roller coaster ride of, "what should I do with my photography degree," and started with taking photos at a rug company. I moved on from there, bouncing around to different positions within the photography industry, dipping my toes into different rivers. This year, as I was able to really focus on people and things that mean so much to me, ended up being the first that really felt like photography "home" to me. I am so thankful that I get to spend time with the most amazing couples who let me tell their love story in photographs and explore these Appalachian mountains at the same time!

This year has been incredible, and I want to thank all of YOU for that! From the most amazing couples who trusted me with their big day to my friends and family who have relentlessly supported me along the way, and everyone in between.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your support means the world to me.

Cheers to the New Year! I can't wait to see what adventures come our way in 2018!

(Grab a beverage, or two-- this post is hefty! I had a tough time selecting just a few photos from each session! Also, stay tuned for my first behind-the-scenes blog!)
