Oh goodness, where to even start with these two?!
Ryan and Sara traveled all the way from Ocean Springs, Mississippi to get married on Roan Mountain and I'm so glad they did! We first met back in July for their engagement session and had so much fun exploring Watauga Lake. From just the little amount time that I got to spend with them that summer evening, I knew how sweet their wedding day would be!
We hiked up to the balds at Carver's Gap on a perfect Fall evening- the sun was shining and the wind was just ever so slight. The grass had already turned to that beautiful golden color and caught the sun as Ryan and Sara said their vows on the mountainside. They had invited their closest family to help celebrate at their intimate ceremony and even brought along their little pup Daisy, who made the cutest little, "flower girl"! After the ceremony, we took advantage of the light and explored the mountain for Ryan and Sara's bride and groom portraits.
I love all of the little personal touches that they included in their day. Sara handmade some amazing comic art heels that complimented Ryan's Captain America cufflinks and socks. They also brought dimes that were collected by Ryan's grandparents who had passed away. It was such a sweet way to incorporate a piece of them into such an important day. Sara's bouquet and Ryan's boutonniere was one of the neatest sets I have ever seen! It was made out of clay, but it wasn't fragile or heavy at all! Such a neat way to keep your bouquet forever! Ryan and Sara - thank you so much for traveling all the way from Mississippi to become husband and wife in Tennessee! Thanks for asking me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day! You two are the sweetest and I wish you a lifetime of adventuring together!
