Mallery and Josh's intimate Fall wedding on Roan Mountain was magical, to say the least! From the first time meeting Josh and Mallery, to shooting their engagement session (check it out here), I had been basically counting down the days to their wedding! Witnessing a super sweet couple getting married in the mountains of Tennessee, in October none-the-less, when the Fall leaves are at peak colors?! Oh man, count me in!
Josh and Mallery had chosen a spot close to the parking lot at Carver's Gap so that a few of their closest family members and pup, Charlie, could easily be a part of their intimate wedding ceremony. The two said their vows at the most perfect place- right on the Appalachian Trail (a few hikers had even passed through), under a canopy of pine trees.
After the rings were exchanged and their first kiss as husband and wife, we hiked up to the balds for portraits. As we were making our way up, fog rolled in and we were literally in the clouds! I think I've mentioned it once, but the weather is so unpredictable up there, you just never know what's going to happen! As the fog lingered, it started to get a little chilly, but Mallery and Josh were troopers and beat the cold. We ended up staying past sunset! Note to self: bring a flash light next time so we're not hiking in the dark!
Josh and Mallery- thank you for inviting me to be a part of your next big adventure! I have absolutely loved laughing with you both and wish you all the best!
