Looking Back at 2015

Wow, guys... what a year! Like a roller coaster, it had it's wild and crazy moments and also low valleys in between. It really flew by!

As I've learned to look back and cherish all of the special moments captured in life, I thought it would be awesome to go back month by month and remember all of the amazing adventures and people that were there along the way through this crazy year.

Thank you all for a fantastic year! Cheers to 2016!

(Grab a cup of coffee, it's a long one! I just couldn't resist adding some of these photos. Enjoy!)

In January, I kicked the year off strong with an awesome portrait with Steve Gilbert, an amazing, outlaw country, musician.

February brought us some stunning snow in Tennessee, perfect for Josh and Anna's couple's session!

Elizabeth and I had the honor of shooting Brian and Megan's gorgeous wedding in March! See their blog here!

Some fun behind-the-scenes photos. Mostly, "Hey, go stand there!"

Also, found my favorite window in Bristol (so far), and met the cutest little red heeler.

I turned 25 in April, and wanted to kayak and have the biggest margarita I could get my hands on! It was successful.

May was really jam-packed! Started with an incredible shoot with Peyton of Pavillion.

Then, a portrait of my friend, Chrissy Roberts...

...and my first bass-fishing tournament.

Shed some tears as I said goodbye to my childhood home and my fur-sister, who had doggie-cancer. This valley particularly sucked (but I'm glad to have photographs to remember her by).

And a selfie with my momma on Mother's Day. She's wonderful.

Andrew and I acquired our first boat in June, a 17 foot Boston Whaler! We nursed it back to health and had it's maiden voyage late August. Sarah and her mom, Becky, came to visit and we took one of my favorite selfies of all time!

The mountains of North Carolina welcomed me with open arms in July and August! First, with camping in Panthertown Valley, and then with Amanda and Elizabeth's elopement in Banner Elk! Such a beautiful state!

August also hosted my first magazine cover and spread, featuring Amythyst Kiah on Voice, magazine for women!

Then a trip to Watauga Lake...

...and Holden Beach! Can't you tell I love the water?

Harper and the Bears came over for a shoot by the lake.

September was also an eventful month! Started off with a shoot with the boys of Folk Soul Revival.

At Bristol Rhythm and Roots, I got to discover some extremely talented musicians, including my two favorites this year, Daniel Romano and Moon Taxi. Seriously, incredible. Just a quick iPhone snap, because I was there to listen. Sarah came to visit and got to experience the festival for the first time- loved having her there!

Then, Andrew and I celebrated our 1st year of marriage in the Smokies-- Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We basically found some great eats and competed in our own mini-golf tournament. Andrew won, but barely!

That's our cake topper- fun-fetti cake!

With Andrew's birthday in October, we savored what was left of the fishing and boating season. Andrew caught the first bass on our own boat. Edit: He wanted me to add that he was unhappy that the first bass was also a "peanut," as they call them. But, regardless, it was the first!

In November, I got to see some of the most breath-taking mountains in North-East Tennessee: Roan Mountain. Mike and Becky, Sarah's parents, came to visit and wanted to see too!

That FINALLY brings us to December. Christmas brought us 70 degree weather-- Chacos and short sleeves!

If you guys made it this far, I thank you!

May you all have an incredible New Year filled with many wonderful memories, love and laughter!

See you in 2016!
