Help-Portrait 2014 with King DMAD

Hey guys! It's been a while since my last blog.. been kinda busy running around Tennessee and doing stuff, ya know?

So, today is actually the world-wide event, Help-Portrait. If you've never heard of it, it's a huge event where photographers, make-up artists, hair stylists and all sorts of other volunteers get together and give free family portraits to those in need and to many who may have never had a family portrait otherwise. It usually falls on the first Saturday in December.

This year, I was asked by the photo students at King University in Bristol, TN to join them at their event (which actually was in November) and immediately said yes. I had helped in years previous and was extremely stoked to come back. It's definitely a great event that holds a special place in my heart. If you can next year, you should find a place local to you holding an event and volunteer. It's really an amazing feeling knowing that you can use your talent/hobby/passion to actually GIVE back to the community.

Here are a few of my behind-the-scenes instagrams from the day (we were so busy, I barely squeaked these out).
